We have reached the end of our newest set of installments of Event Venue Highlights (for now). But we're not done yet, we have another beautiful venue featured that is perfect for your next event. This venue has also been chosen for its uniqueness, appearance, and atmosphere and has great potential to create the amazing vision you have for your event. The Woodlands Mansion in Summerville is a perfect venue for a beautiful wedding, formal corporate meeting, or any other event need imaginable. From 1906, the Woodland Mansion has been a beacon of joy and light for the community. It started as a family home for Robert Parsons and his family. During the Second World War, it was a place of entertainment for servicemen to come to and hold on to joy during such dire circumstances. The site held lavish parties which included dancing, singing, and even roller skating! How appropriate that it would remain a site for gorgeous events and gatherings today!

There are so many unique aspects of this venue; I am not going to go too in-depth with each of them, but here are a few:

The Front Lawn/Mansion Steps
The entrance to this amazing venue gives a perfect backdrop for a lovely welcoming of the bride to her betrothed. It is rich with history and beauty that perfectly outlines a southern wedding.

The Pavilion
Customized with a banquet kitchen and space for live music or DJ and a dance floor, the pavilion accommodates up to 200 guests for any event. It can hold up to 88 guests for a seated meal.

The North Porch has a view of the Pavilion lawn and the South Porch has a wood burning fireplace and a view of the bricked terrace and wrought iron gates that lead to the pool area.

The Grand Dining Room
Bring your guests inside for a formal meal in the Grand Dining Room complete with sparkling chandeliers and wide windows overlooking the scenery.

For a more private and smaller gathering, enjoy the Private Dining Room which can accommodate up to 14 guests and includes its own fireplace and private reception area.

The Woodlands also proves its historical background with several other areas such as the Wedding Lawn, Winter Garden, Private Bar, Dining Room Terrace, Drawing Room, and Pool.
