​The Woodlands Mansion in Summerville is a perfect venue for a beautiful wedding, formal corporate meeting, or any other event need imaginable.  From 1906, the Woodland Mansion has been a beacon of joy and light for the community.  It started as a family home for Robert Parsons and his family.  During the Second World War, it was a place of entertainment for servicemen to come to and hold on to joy during such dire circumstances.  The site held lavish parties which included dancing, singing, and even roller skating!  How appropriate that it would remain a site for gorgeous events and gatherings today!

The Creek Club at I’on has been placed in the Hall of Fame for wedding venues in Charleston on theknot.com! Located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, it overlooks the breathtaking Mobcaw Creek and contains beautiful gardens bordering the lawn area.  In true Charleston fashion, it has wide porches for basking in the South Carolina sun with family and friends.  This venue has an open floor plan featuring tall oversized windows, high ceilings with exposed rafters, and two grand fireplaces.  And the owners have done a fantastic job of planting native Charleston foliage such as live oaks, palms, and azaleas in the garden which can be seen year-round.

​Upstairs at Midtown is located in the beautiful, historically-rich Downtown Charleston, built circa 1760.  It has been restored to accommodate weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate functions, engagements, birthdays, and any event imaginable.  This perfect event venue features polished heart pine floors, exposed brick walls, original fireplaces, tall mahogany coffered ceilings and authentic crystal chandeliers.  

​​But the most fascinating feature is that it contains the only private rooftop patio in the Upper King Street district! It is perfect for an indoor or outdoor event, or both! 

Upstairs at Midtown can hold receptions for up to 150 guests, seated dinners for up to 80 guests, or special ceremonies for up to 60 guests. ​

King Street Catering Company is the exclusive caterer for Upstairs at Midtown and serves up delicious selections of classic Lowcountry cuisine.  A menu is also available on their website which will be linked below.

​The Confederate Home, located on 62 Broad Street in Charleston, has a wide range of options available for any event imaginable.  It was built circa 1800 and has been used for many major events of the Civil War.  President Monroe is recorded to have been there  and addressed the crowd below from the balcony.

​​The Court Room and Ante Chamber once held the Federal Court during the Civil War and Judge Magrath renounced his allegiance to the United States upon the secession of South Carolina.  These rooms can be perfectly utilized for receptions, meetings, luncheons, rehearsal dinners, and much more.  Capacity for the Court Room is 85 seated, 150 standing and the Ante Chamber holds 32 seated, 50 standing.

​​The Historic Rice Mill is located in Downtown Charleston at 17 Lockwood Dr #101.  Built in 1861, the mill has a rich history and is one of the only three original antebellum rice mills that still stand today in Charleston.  This venue has a perfect view of the beautiful Ashley River which is an amazing backdrop to have for a truly Charleston style wedding.  

​”Classic design features include exposed brick, wide plank wood floors, large double windows, and pressed tin ceilings. The beautiful mahogany and marble bar is well suited for entertaining, while the adjacent dance floor area naturally lends itself to live music and dancing.” The building offers three options for a wedding ceremony, outdoor waterfront, under the oaks, and the marina room.  The outdoor waterfront option is suitable for 150 people, under the oaks for 250 people, and the marina room for 80 people.  

​​There are also three options for the wedding reception: seated dinner or buffet, cocktail style reception, or marina room seated dinner.  The seated dinner or buffet option fits 200 people, 300 people in the cocktail style reception, and 70 people in the marina room seated dinner option.
