Despite what the name may imply, Richard Bell Photography is actually a group effort consisting of “5 primary photographers, a full time digital artist and a support staff to keep the creatives in check.”. It was started in the 80’s by Richard Bell. He passed it on to his son, Nathan Bell, in 2004 to continue the legacy of beautifully crafted, innovative photos to each and every client. Built in 1861, the mill has a rich history and is one of the only three original antebellum rice mills that still stand today in Charleston. This venue has a perfect view of the beautiful Ashley River which is an amazing backdrop to have for a truly Charleston style wedding. ![]() ”Classic design features include exposed brick, wide plank wood floors, large double windows, and pressed tin ceilings. The beautiful mahogany and marble bar is well suited for entertaining, while the adjacent dance floor area naturally lends itself to live music and dancing.” The building offers three options for a wedding ceremony, outdoor waterfront, under the oaks, and the marina room. The outdoor waterfront option is suitable for 150 people, under the oaks for 250 people, and the marina room for 80 people. ![]() There are also three options for the wedding reception: seated dinner or buffet, cocktail style reception, or marina room seated dinner. The seated dinner or buffet option fits 200 people, 300 people in the cocktail style reception, and 70 people in the marina room seated dinner option. |
