Just Love A Good Dip

We just couldn’t resist titling this photo of the very special event we were a part of a few weeks ago "Just Love A Good Dip". On tap was the super dreamy couple taking the nuptial plunge once again! Not a do-over as in getting remarried, but a wonderful recommitment ceremony that honored their first vow and made another one in front of all those who came out to be a part of the festivities. There were no bluenoses at this sunset evening soiree.

It was the bee’s knees! The attire was especially exciting because the attendees and the bride and groom were all decked out in a 1920s flapper theme. Yes, from head to toe reliving the era of days of old. Everything was "Jake”.

Todd, the gorger groom, took his solemn promise in a handsome pin-striped suit with a
coordinating feathered hat to boot. Cindy, the bearcat, stole the show with her vintage nifty gold flapper dress with gold/black trimmings and stylish hair coif.

Best man and bridesmaid complimented them both wearing their coordinating attire. Nichole and Zack witnessed their parents take the plunge this time and supported them by the giving of rings and a bouquet.

The bride, a choice bit of calico, showed ultimate class by arriving in a vintage 1920s car touting its “ahooga” sound to announce the event. Escorted by her son, Zack, to the reverend she refreshed her promise in the presence of special guests. She was as beautiful as ever! Todd gladly took her in hand and they again spoke their pledge to one another.

Once the nuptials culminated, the party began! In a very obscure location, Freehouse Brewery, akin to a speak-easy, guests were treated to delicious treats by Chef Calvert and his culinary crew. Skewers with smoked sausage and shrimp, smoked salmon, bacon wrapped spiced chicken pieces and delicious dessert tasties. Special “giggle water” favorites in honor of the time period were offered along with all manner of libations. Dancing too! Which brings me back to the dip.

Congratulations Todd and Cindy 25 years and going strong!

What can I say... I Just Love a Good Dip!
